Fauna Project

There were nine participants on this week's survey. After a cold night, the sun warmed things up quickly. Mosquitoes and midges look rather similar but they are easy to tell apart, and not just because only the former will bite. As shown below, midges hold their front legs out in the air, while mosquitoes do the same with their back legs.
