Fauna Project

Our team this week consisted of four people. Although the morning started out cold, the sun eventually made brief appearances, warming things up enough for insects to become active. If a stick insect loses a leg as a nymph, it will regrow a replacement the next time it molts. The new limb, however, never regains the original size, which accounts for the mismatched front legs on the individual shown below.
