Fauna Project

Although the morning started with uncomfortably hot and humid conditions, our six participants were delighted with the heavy downpour that brought this survey to an end. We sometimes find things that we cannot identify. These mysteries are recorded in photos with the hope of figuring out what they are at some later date. This week's most curious find, shown below, was a dried fungus with granular tubes sticking out of it, apparently made by insects.
