The Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center
Fauna Project

Although it was a mostly cloudy morning, the heat was intense as our group of six conducted this week's survey. Butterfly numbers and diversity are quite low due to the weather, while predators such as wasps and robber flies are still fairly common. The Bowl and Doily Spider gets its name from the shape of its distinctive web.
