The Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center
Fauna Project

Eight participants conducted this week's survey under overcast skies with mild temperatures and a bit of occasional drizzle. The spring moths are out in force and we saw a good number resting on the walls near lights. Note how similar the Woolly Gray and the Halfwing look! We saw several of both these species. The Kissing Bug nymph was observed in the archway between the Library and the Administration Offices. This is a very interesting insect; for more information, just Google "Triatoma."
