Back in 1993, Vicky still looked happy about the fact that she works with a bunch turkeys. Literally. While many people claim a similar situation, they don't all work at a turkey research lab. Vic works for Jennie-O at a research facility in Barron, WI. At the time of the photo, the building was new and it was owned by Jerome Foods. She is still there, over 20 years and a couple of buy-outs later, but now does more computer work and writing reports than cleaning up after the birds. They run studies for things like what feed components produce the fastest growth and best quality meat, tend to bird health issues and keep a lot of records. Handling the birds is no big deal when they are little poults, but those fowl quickly grow to around 50 pounds!
