LARVALBUG LENS, October, 2016

Vicky, flanked by the judge and her husband, Tom, was deservedly happy when "Floyd" CH Timbavati Dark Side Floyd CD, TD, NA, CGC, VC (4/10/88 - 3/14/96) won Best of Winners in June, 1989, at a dog show in Iowa City. The Rhodesian Ridgeback, named after the rock band, Pink Floyd, was her first dog to earn champion status, which is denoted by the CH before his full name. The suffix string of abbreviations indicate other titles that he eventually obtained: CD - Companion Dog (June, 1990), TD - AKC Tracking Dog (May, 1995), NA - Novice Agility (Aug., 1995), CGC - Canine Good Citizen (June, 1990), and VC - Versatility Certificate. Floyd would probably have garnered additional awards but he died fairly young of cancer.
